Coremine Vitae has been and is a great support for me and my husband. I have bowel cancer with spread to the liver, where the liver metastasis is currently inoperable.

Coremine Vitae has prepared documentation for me based on my diagnosis, information from the public hospital, facts from genetic tests, etc. The material from Coremine Vitae has increased our level of expertise about cancer and enabled us to ask relevant questions about treatment choices, and if necessary also challenge the treating doctors, both in the oncology and surgery departments.

The report from Coremine Vitae and the conversations we have had with the treating doctors during the course of the disease have also given us confidence that the chosen treatment is the best for me.

We also think it is of great value that Coremine Vitae's professionals have high recognition and good dialog with both the oncological and surgical professional community at public hospitals (for our part, we are talking about various departments at OUS). We believe it is very important to have good cooperation between patients, public hospitals, private clinics and other professional environments such as Coremine Vitae. In our opinion, a prerequisite for this is good dialog and mutual respect between the parties.  

We may find ourselves in a situation where treatment abroad must be considered. Coremine Vitae has provided us with information about relevant studies both in Norway and abroad. If treatment abroad becomes relevant, we assume that parts of the material from Coremine Vitae can be used as a basis for documentation that various hospitals abroad will request.  

We are very satisfied with the dialog with Coremine Vitae. They provide very good service, are efficient and accessible. It is reassuring that they do not generate income through payback schemes with various treatment institutions and/or hospitals in Norway and abroad. For us, this gives us extra assurance that the information received is objective.
